It seriously hasn’t snowed very much since October but Wednesday, ALL of the snowflakes that couldn’t wait to get here, finally arrived ALL at once.
I decided to drive to town after work on Wednesday, spent the night at Motel 6, and drove back yesterday afternoon. When I left, I recall about 3 feet of snow leading up to the door. Snow was blowing all over the place and the wind was pretty intense, but I decided I could make it the 50 miles with the nice tires that dad bought me a while back. Here are the photos and video from my adventure:
- Really Motel 6?? Who in their right mind would ever pay $199.99 to stay in such a craphole?
- I perused the local paper and found this…The dog seems really nice…maybe he should be getting rid of the wife!
- The park entrance on the drive back home
- Trees weighed down with snow
- …another tree…
- …more trees…
- reminds me of Chronicles of Narnia…
- Where is the wise old lion?
- …and another snowy tree.
- I turned on my street to find the kids just off of the school bus….
- …and pulled up to my house to find a mountain of snow.
- I shoveled a nice little path and was very proud of my work.
- Isn’t that a nice path?
- This is my yard. I thought about just diving into it.
- Then the power goes out and is out from 5:30pm until right now. I lit the fire in the fireplace for the second time since I’ve lived here, and settled in with kitty, Frambois, and cheese and crackers….Then I was really really bored.
- And here is the view at 8am this morning. Looks like Mr. Fox crossed the path. It took me about 15 minutes to re-shovel my path and shovel my car out.
This may appear dangerous, but I assure you, it was not…

Isn’t it crazy that all that snow literally dropped overnight? I live in Casper and although we’ve had oodles of snow since December (don’t be jealous!) We don’t normally get to your neck of the woods in the winter, but I’ll definitely ask for you! Have fun in all the snow.
